Make America great again.







Once upon a time i had heard all over the world, i had read at many books, seen in the movies, saw at the press, and i saw at the behavior of the country citizens, i had saw at the hope of the migrants, a Nation of good expectations, a land of promises, a country of rightness and freedom, that it made remind me the Gettysburg Address, "...that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

It's good for the world that exist such place. Not a promised land, but a nation fighting every day for the best at the next day, with their problems, but in the way to fulfill their dreams. Where nobody is above the law, where rightness rules, where a misconduct are judged after be proved with irrefutable testimonies.

If you read The Bill of Rights, you'll see that the Fathers of the Nation had assigned increased responsibility to the Senate. But it had, all now collapsed, when the senators, but one, for party complicity, and to be afraid of the electoral consequences, have dismissed their responsibilities. A senator represents, above all, the welfare of the  Nation ["... may promote the lasting welfare of the country... secure the freedom and happiness"] How can a senator judge facts without witnesses? How can they despise the country's best interests out of electoral fear? How can they not see the harm that the current president does to the country?

It's all lost when somebody can feel  herself free to do anything he want.

Hope not to be right in my evaluation, what has to be now "our most ardent wish..."

Isso foi no princípio de fevereiro 2020, dia 8 mais precisamente, entretanto veio a pandemia, e no 1º de junho o The Guardian publicava as críticas do Sr. Robert Reich, que aqui vão traduzidas à seguir, e que chegam ao ponto, três anos e meio depois, do que eu havia dito na minha primeira crónica sobre Trump, mês e meio após ter tomado posse. Demoraram a enxergar.
"E ele mente incessantemente.

Na realidade, Donald Trump não governa os Estados Unidos. Ele não gerencia nada. Ele não organiza ninguém. Ele não administra ou supervisiona. Ele não lê memorandos. Ele odeia reuniões. Não tem paciência para conferências. Sua Casa Branca é um caos perpétuo.

Seus conselheiros não são honestos. São lacaios, bajuladores e parentes.

Desde que entrou no Salão Oval em janeiro de 2017, Trump não mostrou um pingo de interesse em governar. Ele é obcecado por ele mesmo."
